Jewelry care

How can you take the best possible care of your jewelry so it lasts a long time?

All our jewelry is entirely handmade, using the finest, highest-quality materials available, so you can receive a perfect piece of jewelry
Jewelry is delicate and should be cared for properly so it can stay with us for a long time

All our jewelry is made of 925 sterling silver
What is 925 silver?
925 silver is silver that contains 92.5% silver and an additional 7.5% of other materials, such as copper, to strengthen the silver and make it suitable for use in jewelry
Silver can tarnish when it comes into contact with air
Tarnishing = the jewelry turning black
Silver can tarnish when it comes into contact with sweat/perfume/creams/cleaning products
So be sure to follow the guidelines below to keep your jewelry sparkling and shiny, just as it was the day you received it
Gold-plated jewelry
Gold-plated jewelry is made of 925 silver plated with yellow gold in a 3-micron thickness (a thick, strong
and durable plating), or jewelry made of brass with micron-thick gold plating
Our plating is thick and excellent, but it is still plating. So it should also be cared for according to the following guidelines

If you’re going to work out- take off your jewelry. This is especially important for necklaces and rings, which can break or tear during exercise. In addition, sweat causes jewelry to tarnish more quickly, so it’s recommended that you take off your jewelry before working out
This also applies to gold-plated jewelry*

Before you go to sleep- I recommend taking off all your jewelry. Our bodies can secrete substances during the night, too, causing jewelry to tarnish more quickly. Plus, it’s always better to sleep with as few items on as possible so you can sleep comfortably and relax :)

If you go in the sea or a pool- After leaving, rinse your jewelry with fresh water and dry it with a damp cloth
Gold-plated jewelry - it’s recommended that you don’t wear it in the sea or a pool*

Perfume/creams- Before using perfume or cream, take off your jewelry. Let the perfume/cream dry for a few minutes, and only then put your jewelry back on
This also applies to gold-plated jewelry*

Cleaning products- If you’re using cleaning products, take off all your jewelry. Cleaning products can also cause jewelry to tarnish more quickly

Not wearing your jewelry? - If you’ve taken off a piece of jewelry and aren’t wearing it, keep it in a dry place with no humidity, and store it in the clear bag you received with your purchase or in the box the jewelry came in. Very important- Remove the foam from the box as soon as you receive your package! The foam absorbs moisture and may cause the jewelry to tarnish more quickly

Baking soda, hot water, and aluminum foil
Take a bowl and line it with aluminum foil. Put the jewelry you want to clean inside, sprinkle baking soda over it, and pour in hot water. Let the solution work for at least 10–15 minutes
Important!! - Do not put gold-plated jewelry/pearl jewelry/gemstone jewelry/jewelry with
intentional blackening in the solution

Toothpaste and a soft toothbrush
Take some toothpaste (not whitening toothpaste) and a soft toothbrush. Apply the toothpaste to the jewelry and leave it for at least 10–15 minutes. Then use the toothbrush and water to clean and polish the jewelry

Water and soap
Water and soap are great for cleaning jewelry. You can shower with your jewelry on and wash your hands while wearing it; this cleans it and keeps it sparkling
